“I am so grateful I chose to work with Teach Away as they were and are still extremely supportive throughout my working experience abroad. I particularly loved the help and instant support when I had issues with the airport in my country, not wanting to give me a boarding pass until they were convinced of my reasons for travel (this is common in my country). I was so grateful – Teach Away, though having an 11 hour time difference (which means they were helping me out of office hours!) acted so fast, and did all they could to get me to Georgia. When I missed my original morning flight I almost gave up but with the instant reaction from Teach Away, I felt I was in good hands, and I was put on the next flight to Georgia.
The experience of teaching English in Georgia is beyond amazing. The culture here is so different, so interesting. I am learning a lot as I help others learn too. Kids in school think I am a superhero… They do not see that many foreigners, especially from Africa. It’s amazing to see their faces light up whenever I step into the classroom, and I know it’s going to be a great year – a fulfilling year as I help makea difference in kids’ lives.”
