LOCATION - Jeonam
Apart from Jeju Island, this is the most southernly region of Korea. Jeonam has over 2000 islands along the coastline, albeit three-quarters of which are uninhabited bu people. The population of two million is confined to a relatively small area. Its southern location results in a milder climate than other parts of Korea. To illustrate, the average temperatures in winter rare drop below freeing. The coastline itself is over 6,100km long.
