Job Description
Teach Away is currently recruiting classroom teachers of English to work in government schools in Brunei. Currently there are over 200 teachers at Primary and Secondary level. This program has been in operation for a number of years. Teachers in these positions will work in government schools.
Teachers can expect tax free salaries that follow a government scale. Teaching jobs in Brunei are typically for 2 years with the option to renew at the end of the contract for an additional 1-2 years. It is expected that teachers are able and willing to drive, however some teachers are driven to work by their partner, or housekeeper.

| Qualifications: | Due to Ministry of Education regulations in Brunei, we are only able to consider applicants who will be less than 55 years of age on initial engagement.
*Degree from a University in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, preferably in English/Linguistics/Humanities *Qualified teacher status / teacher accreditation (PGCE, Bed, DipT etc.) *Minimum 3 years classroom teaching experience including secondary plus EFL/ESL (an EFL/ESL qualification preferable but not essential) |
