Candidate Requirements The following requirements are for all ESL jobs in Vietnam offered through Teach Away Inc. In order to get the appropriate work permit and visa you are required to meet the following requirements: 1. Native English speaker(American, Canadian, British, Australian, New Zealander) 2. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree 3. English teaching degree or certificate (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, DELTA or equivalent) 4. Minimum 1 year of teaching experience (preferred) The Role of the Teacher The teacher acts as a facilitator of their students’ learning. As such, they have many roles to fulfill. Teachers are highly respected in Vietnam. The ESL teacher is responsible for managing classroom activities in an effort to promote communication in English. The teacher will also work as advisor, providing feedback on student questions and monitoring their performance.
