I am highly interested in teaching in the UAE. I have submitted all of my forms and resume. How can I get more responses? I am consistently contacted and scheduled for interviews in china, but UAE would definitely be my first choice. What should I do to grab their attention? I've been teaching for four years and I hold several certifications in Texas and working towards another. I need advice.

    Hi Latoya,

    Thanks for your question. I understand you've been teaching for several years and have some certifications. But to clarify, are you a licensed teacher? The Explore Program in China is an ESL program, so instructors for those roles don't require a teaching license, just a TEFL certification (https://teflonline.teachaway.com), whereas UAE schools do often require a widely recognized teaching license.

    Hi Brett!! I am also trying to teach or be a school leader in UAE. I am a licensed teacher with three teaching certificates, a Master Degree in Instructional Design, and ten years teaching experience. What can I do to stand out? Thanks Brett!!!

    Hi Laura,

    It sounds like you have some fantastic credentials that do quite a bit of speaking for themselves. So, the most important thing you can do is make sure these are reflected on your profile. All required documents should be uploaded and your profile should be 100% complete.

    I am in the same situation. I have been teaching for four years and I am a certified teacher in Canada. It is my goal to get a teaching job in Dubai for September. I am unsure the likeliness of hearing a response once I've applied for a job.

    I am also interested to find a secondary math teaching position in UAE. I have applied to couple of positions. I have MS in Mathematical science from Clemson University, USA and a B.ed from Karnataka university India, with 2 years of secondary math teaching experience in India, 1 year of secondary math teaching experience in the US and 2 years of teaching experience to undergrads in the US. I am interested to find a suitable position and I would sincerely appreciate if you could assist me. Thank you!!

    Thanks for your question! It sounds like you have some great education and teaching experience under your belt. Have you made sure that all of this is reflected on your profile and that your profile is showing as 100% complete? This is the first step.

    Once you've done this, you'll want to visit the Teach Away job board (https://teachaway.com/teaching-jobs-abroad) to filter for jobs. Look for jobs in positions and countries that appeal to you and also check carefully to make sure you're qualified. Hit the APPLY button for the positions you'd like to apply for. Follow your application status for each one from your teacher dashboard.

    Hello,

    I recently have applied for positions for which I feel I am highly qualified for. I have experience as a teacher, assistant principal and principal. I am currently serving as a district level administrator. I have completed all required documents with the exception of my references. I have excellent references and am just concerned about this hindering my ability to move forward. Please advise, and I thank you for your assistance regarding this inquiry.

    Is there a reason you'd prefer not to add your references now? I recommend adding those, so in the event our recruitment team and/or a hiring school/organization needs to move quickly, everything they need is one place.

    Hello Brett,

    I'm interested in working in the UAE and was wondering how I can improve my chances of obtaining a position. I have lived all over the world and hold several teaching licenses. I have taught grades K through 12th and online. I have served as a department chair and a transition specialist. I possess a Master's Degree in special education and presently completing work on a doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership.

    Hi I am Jeneshmary. Is it ok if I have a Masters in Education Degree instead of teachers license?
