I would like information on the pros and cons of working for the different types of schools in the UAE. Based on the Jobs Search page, I have gathered that there are a few options teachers have when choosing schools in the U.A.E. (Abu Dhabi Public Schools, UAE Government Schools, GEMS Schools, International Schools etc.)
I've found the following:
Abu Dhabi Public Schools have competitive pay (3500-5000 usd/month) and provide accommodation.
UAE Government schools have a higher salary (5700 usd/month) but do not provide accommodation.

Which is the best option?

    Hi !
    I have also been doing a lot of math regarding the offered salaries. What i figured out is that it comes down to the same amount if the accommodation is provided or not provided(as far as Abu Dhabi Schools pay you $5000)

    From my research, if you get your own place; it's expensive but you control where you live. You have to pay up front for the year and also utilities. Housing that is provided may include utilities and you don't have to worry about paying upfront for the year or set up utilities. I have heard of people renting a room but then you need to get along with them.
