  • Understand and apply the elements of creating an effective classroom/workplace and be able to demonstrate application of best practice in learning/teaching/working methodology
  • Demonstrate superior technology skills (Google for Education) and create innovations in this area
  • Desire to be a part of concept based and backwards by design curriculum/institution development with an enthusiastic approach to improving school collaboration and efficiency
  • Want to lead co-curricular and athletic programs with students and to actively seek responsibilities outside the regular job assigned
  •  IPS is located on the Euro Village Compound and fully furnished housing is provided on the compound or in nearby compounds or complexes for expat teachers and their families
  •  Spouses and dependents are noted at the time of initial hire and contracting
  •  Annual economy airfare is provided to/from Saudi to/from home of record for employee, accompanying spouse and school age accompanying dependents
    • Initial flight is booked as one-way and through IPS offices
    • Summer flights on economy basis (ticket or cash equivalent as per Finance Policy) are provided
    • Final (exit) economy one-way flight provided (ticket or cash equivalent as per Finance Policy)
    •  SR 2250 per employee (1125 per school age accompanying dependent) shipping or excess luggage allowance on a reimbursement basis (initial flight only)
    •  SR 2250 settling-in allowance per employee upon arrival (initial flight only)
  •  Local Transportation Assistance:  
    • SR 500 per month of operation/work (added with payroll) for Female Staff excluding those who live in EuroVillage or are transported by school van.
    • SR 250 per month of operation/work for male staff (living anywhere) and female staff living in EuroVillage. 
  • 10. Tuition for school age accompanying dependents (must meet IPS admission standards)
    • 100% for up to 2 if both parents are employees of IPS
    • 50% for up to 2 if one parent is an employee of IPS
    • 25% for a 3rd child (50% if both parents employed by IPS)
    • Full tuition payment expected for 4th and other children (25% if both parents employed by IPS)
  • Family International Health Insurance
    • 100% for employee and all school age accompanying dependents
    • 50% for non-employed and eligible accompanying dependents
  • IPS reimburses upon arrival all normal costs associated with obtaining visas for the employee.  IPS employs agencies in the country of origin to assist with this (at times) complicated process.
  •  After arrival and in subsequent years of employment IPS covers all costs associated with iqama renewal, work permits, and the first 6-month multiple exit/re-entry visa for the employee each year (a 2nd exit/entry visa will cost the employee no more than SR 500 if desired).  Family residence visa, iqam, exit re-entry visa and all associated costs (if desired) are the responsibility of the employee.
  • End of Service Bonus paid upon completion of final contract.
  • ½ month salary for each of the first 5 years
  • Full month salary for each year beyond 5
  • Computations based on final salary

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and model the Mission, Beliefs and Graduate Profile of IPS
  • Determines with the relevant administrator appropriate learning objectives for the class, taking into account the school’s course of study and the assessed needs of the students
  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful and constructive relationship with students, parents and colleagues
  • Plans appropriate learning experiences for individual, group and class instruction
  • Develop Unit plans in collaboration with colleagues  and present to Curriculum Coordinator when required
  • Monitors student progress and evaluates the student’s achievement in relation to learning objectives
  • Reports individual student's progress to parents and school personnel through the preparation of reports and/or of conferences
  • Creates, a functional, safe, attractive and physically comfortable environment to the extent possible
  • Maintains professional competence through participation in in-service educational activities provided by the school and/or self-elected professional growth activities
  • Performs basic attendance accounting, record keeping and clerical services as assigned
  • Assists in the selection and requisitioning of books, instructional aids and supplies to the extent possible
  • Establishes and maintains acceptable standards of students behavior
  • Administers any school testing program required by the administration
  • Participates in curriculum development, program planning, school evaluation processes, and other faculty committees as required by the school administration
  • Shares in the sponsorship of student activities
  • Plans and coordinates the work of aids, and teacher assistants where appropriate
  • Works with colleagues, ancillary staff, parents and community agencies in matters of mutual concern
  • Participates with the administration to develop a continuous improvement plan for both the individual teacher and the school
  • Attend and participate in all faculty meetings and general student assemblies and evening and weekend programs as appropriate
  • Be available to accommodate parents and students seeking after school appointments.  Attend all assigned parent conferences
  • Accept responsibility for extracurricular activities and provide 2 after school clubs per year
