Essential:
- BA Degree Biology (or relevant field) and the commensurate ability to teach advanced High School (IBHL) Biology and Environmental Systems and Societies
- Valid teaching certification & at least two years’ experience as a full-time Biology/ESS teacher in an international or national school offering programmes similar to NIS
- Commitment to collaborating with colleagues to make learning connected and meaningful
- A proven commitment to professional development that has been applied to your classroom practice
- Ability to provide clear police/background and medical checks
- A commitment to inclusive education and to serving a diverse array of learners
- Experience as a teacher in at least one of MYP Science, DP Biology or DP ESS
- A love of being a homeroom/advisory teacher in addition to – and of equal importance to - your subject teacher role
Highly Desirable:
- Experience of the IBDP (Biology/Environmental Systems and Societies)
- Experience of the IBMYP
- Masters’ degree or higher in an appropriate field (science or education)
- Experience as an IB workshop leader or similar

NIS seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and talented educator able to teach IBDP SL/HL Biology, Upper MYP Science and a Grade 11-12 Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) DP course. The successful candidate will join the secondary school (Gr.6-12) Science department which includes a specialist in Chemistry, another in Physics and a third who specialises in the Middle School MYP Sciences.
