Additional School Requirements:

Due to the very strict visa regulations in Macao, all foreign teachers must meet the following requirements:

Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa
Bachelors Degree in any Major
Minimum of 1 year of classroom teaching experience
120 hour TEFL certificate or CELTA required, and PGCE
No criminal history

Other requirements:

Drama or English major preferred
International Teaching experienced preferred
Flexible to adapt to a new culture
Outgoing, dedicated, professional

Job Benefits:

Competitive salary (after tax): MOP 20,000 - 30,000 (GBP 2,000 – 3,000) per month depending on experience and qualifications
One or two-year contracts (renewable, depending on the working visa)

Free housing or monthly housing allowance (MOP 3,000 per month)

Year-end bonus after completion of one year service
10 days Macau national public holidays + 10 annual paid holidays.

Job Description:

Main Responsibilities

30 teaching hours per week.
40 office hours per week
6 working days per week
Teach English by drama to Primary school students
Teach ESL to youths and adults in the learning centre
Ensure students learn and progress, and receive the support and encouragement needed
Take part in school activities
Promote and preserve a pleasant and courteous atmosphere in the school
