Assistant to the Principal for Campus Life

Saint Paul American School, located in the Haidian district of Beijing, is in search of an organized, highly motivated, and talented teacher to fill a recent opening as Assistant to the Principal for Campus Life.  

This is a highly competitive position, and we are being exclusive in our selection. 

Candidates with experience that show an outstanding track record of communication, collaboration and a positive work ethic will have our first consideration.  To reiterate, you must already be in China in order to be considered. 

Experience with multiple cultures, peoples of diverse backgrounds, and international experience is valuable for this role, but a sound understanding of holistic pedagogy and student development is an equally valuable trait. 

You will be tasked with the supervision of over 240 students during after-school hours, from 3PM-11PM Monday to Friday with a dinner break.   

Your primary role will be to support the school’s Progressive Discipline program, supervise detention, and enforce uniform standards and campus policies during school and after school.   You will be required to attend weekly meetings with the Dorm Staff and School Principal, and take on dormitory duties assigned in order to support the policies and procedures of the school during Study Hall and nightly check-ins. 

A weekly report will be required along with the daily use of PowerSchool for record-keeping. 

Our Assistant to the Principal for Campus Life must be knowledgeable in all school policies and procedures and enforce them fairly and evenly.  We also are seeking an individual who is not afraid to ask questions in order to get a firm understanding of their role during the training process which will be carried out on the job with the School Principal.
