BASIS Bilingual School Beijing is located on the north side of Anfu Street in Houshayu, Shunyi District, Beijing. As one of Beijing's key new urban developments, Shunyi is a hub for international education and an attractive location for foreign teachers. At BASIS, we believe students can achieve authentic learning through robust challenges. From middle school onwards, our students engage in advanced coursework, setting high expectations while establishing a solid foundation in core subjects, revisiting and reinforcing concepts in greater depth each year to prepare for entry into honors and Advanced Placement levels starting in ninth grade.
As a Biology teacher, you build upon this strong foundation, teaching topics such as the scientific process, cells, microbiology, heredity, plant and animal physiology and function, classification, and ecology. You incorporate student-guided lab experiences to further enhance student understanding.
