Campus des Nations secondary school seeks a BTEC Business and Personal & Professional Skills Teacher for September 2021

To complete our team at Secondary School, we are looking for a: 

Teacher of BTEC Business and Personal and Professional skills.

Part-time: 16 periods per week (full-time is a possibility for a candidate who can offer another subject)

Fixed term contract, with a possibility of renewal.

 

Course details:

TEACHER OF BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) Level 3 Business Studies and TEACHER OF PPS (personal and professional skills) from the IBO Careers Programme core.

The successful candidate will teach the Level 3 Pearson International BTEC in Business Studies in line with departmental schemes of work to Year 12 and 13.  The candidate will also teach to Year 12 and Year 13 the main themes of the IB Careers Programme Personal and Professional Skills (PPS) course. They will work with students to ensure that they complete all aspects of the IBCP Core - the language portfolio and the reflective project. The ability to work well with colleagues on the development, delivery and documentation of courses, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching, assessment and pastoral arrangements appropriate to the delivery of Business Studies and PPS is essential.

The candidate will be required to show that they are able to keep abreast of curriculum developments affecting the department and be prepared to discuss matters affecting the curriculum as a whole. It is important for the successful candidate to have a holistic approach to education with a willingness to take an active role in the pastoral care of students. A willingness to take an active role in activities outside the teaching of the academic course would also be an advantage.

The possibility of teaching a second subject could be a distinct advantage.
