The British School of Casale is looking for a new teacher as of January 2019. We are looking for an experienced and versatile native speaker professional ready to join a dynamic school with a solid reputation for its didactics.
The town of Casale Monferrato on the river Po is in Piedmont, North West Italy, at the foothills of the Monferrato, an hour from Turin and the Alps to the West, Milan to the East and Genoa to the South. It has a population of 38,000 people circa and it was a runner up for the title of Italian Capital of Culture for 2020. It’s a place of culture, good food and wine and excellent for outdoor activities such as walking and cycling.
We are looking for a well-rounded teacher at native speaker levels, with genuine teaching experience in Cambridge Exam courses and assessment parametres, ready to work in a dynamic and highly professional environment focused on the excellence of didactics.
The school is a Cambridge Assessment English Authorised Open Exam Centre (IT050) for the entire suite of Cambridge Exams and has currently 8 Speaking Examiners. The School courses offer learning outcomes linked to the Common European Framework in order to provide its students with skills and competences that can be profitably utilised and recognised across Europe and elsewhere. It is legally recognised to operate as a provate language school by the Ministry of Public Education, Universities and Research (MUIR). It is also fully accredited by the said Ministry to be a centre for vocational training courses for public school teachers.
We welcome teachers who are willing to be a part of our working environment, who want to blend in and enrich our school by being cooperative and interactive and having a friendly disposition. We follow their professional development, giving them full support throughout the year. If the teacher has the appropriate number of years of experience he or she can be inducted and co-ordinated as a Cambridge Speaking Examiner. Furthermore he or she will be helped to gain insights into methodology, development of examination skills and class management, when required. This is because we know and understand the local values and mindset and what makes our school better than the competition and gives it the reputation it enjoys.
The teacher we are looking for must be able to manage classes in terms of filling in registers, marking, assessing students for the mid-year and/or end-of-year reports required by our courses and by state schools.
