To support the Head of the Secondary British Section in maintaining the ethos and achieving the aims of Modern English School Cairo through his/her significant contribution to the Secondary Senior Leadership Team. Under the direction of the Head, the British Deputy Head Secondary has the specific remit of overseeing the school and for all staff in the British Secondary Section. He/she also line manages Assistant Heads, Heads of Department and other POR holders as assigned and is responsible for overseeing
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the School’s overall effectiveness and good reputation
- Lead and manage Assistant Heads, Heads of Department and other POR holders as assigned
- Oversee teaching and learning across the British Section curriculum
- Contribute to and monitor the effectiveness of whole school policies and procedures
- Create, monitor, and adjust the Secondary Timetable for examination periods and cover
- Oversee the wellbeing and health and safety of our students internal and external examinations. The nature of our multi-curricula Secondary school means that he/she will also have whole Secondary responsibilities and is expected to support and promote our ‘One School’ ethos.
