The salary includes the housing allowance, and we will help the teacher find suitable accommodation, with their input and final decision.

Normal ex-pat benefits of a flight to and from Muscat at the start and conclusion of the contract, a flight home each summer, end of contract gratuity, medical insurance, fees in Oman for the employment visa and resident card applications and medicals.

OurPlanet is looking for homeroom teachers who can implement the PYP curriculum to our students who are 50% Omani and 50% from approximately 35 countries.  Our school is around 300 students in grades early years through PYOP6, and our staff come from all over the world as well, with all our homeroom teachers being ex-pat.

It is preferred that candidates have experience of producing Unit Plans and will understand the continuum of learning skills directed by Scope and Sequence. PYP experience is not necessary but preferred.  However, an understanding of inquiry based learning, with projects and using the curiosity of the students, and making lessons student centred instead if teacher-led, is our goal.

OurPlanet is a community environment, with teachers all working together, collaboration being important, and the school has a small community-school feel to it.  Teachers enjoy teaching at OurPlanet, our students enjoy being here, and our parents support the school and enjoy the atmosphere here.
