  • At least two years of full-time teaching experience with students between the ages of 5-18 in public primary, private primary or secondary schools
  • Currently teaching (and not only within universities and/or language institutes in the last year)
  • Fluency in English, or English proficiency high enough to communicate effectively (oral and written) with your principal, colleagues and parents
  • Driver’s license and at least one year of experience driving a car (not a motorcycle)
  • Not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Availability to teach with Participate for at least two years

Participate places international teachers in full-time, salaried positions. All positions include competitive health benefits and structured professional development opportunities. We also assign teachers local advisors.

Participate is seeking elementary teachers (grades K-5) for our partner schools.

We have been an official U.S. Department of State Exchange Visitor Program for more than 30 years. Participate has helped more than 10,000 international educators experience being a full-time teacher in the United States.

In conjunction with our partner schools, Participate selects and places teachers in a variety of public schools in North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina.  Currently, we expect the majority of positions for Elementary (K-5).
