Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School English Teacher who is capable of teaching a range of English courses, such as literature, research and creative writing, and public speaking. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in English literature, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to student success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with motivated students and contribute to their academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to academic achievement and personal growth.
Utilize effective instructional strategies to promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and literary appreciation.
Provide constructive feedback on student work and maintain accurate records of academic progress.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department curriculum and share best practices.
Prepare students for standardized tests, including the AP English Language and Composition or AP English Literature and Composition exams.
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
