Job Description

American STEM Prep. is a dynamic educational institution committed to nurturing young minds and fostering academic excellence. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic High School English Teacher who is capable of teaching a range of English courses, such as literature, research and creative writing, and public speaking. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in English literature, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong commitment to student success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with motivated students and contribute to their academic growth. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to academic achievement and personal growth.
  • Utilize effective instructional strategies to promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and literary appreciation.
  • Provide constructive feedback on student work and maintain accurate records of academic progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department curriculum and share best practices.
  • Prepare students for standardized tests, including the AP English Language and Composition or AP English Literature and Composition exams.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
