ISP-J seeks an experienced, dynamic Music Teacher. The ideal candidate will support our school’s mission, goals, and vision; value community; bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to take thoughtful initiative in a collaborative setting.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students’ needs and curriculum
- Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students
- Motivate students and monitor progress
- Acquire appropriate teaching material and resources
- Communicate with Academic Staff and Parents
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge and awareness of assessments
- Assess students’ abilities, providing feedback and writing school reports
- Coordinate Music performances throughout the academic year
Additional Duties:
- Engage with the administration in a committed effort to improve one’s own job knowledge
- Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures
- Model IPS-J’s ‘Core Values’ in interaction with the school community
- Liaise with Director General, taking on tasks as assigned, including all school goals and objectives
