Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic TESOL/TEFL certified kindergarten teacher for our English immersion program. Gaowa English Academy is a branch campus of Gaowa Montessori, located in Costa Mesa, California and will be directly managed by their American team. Teachers will be well supported, trained, and have access to supplements and resources of their sister campus in the States.

The Gaowa English method of English immersion focuses on phonetics and pronunciation whilst using English as conduit to teach all subject matter including Science, Social Studies, Emotional Development, and Math. The Gaowa method also utilizes a mix of Montessori materials and STEM curriculum to facilitate math and science learning. Each teacher will be assigned an assistant. All curriculum and lesson plans are provided for teachers.

Responsibilities

Follow a pre-made, assigned teaching plan
Teach alphabet and numeracy along with personal, social and emotional skills
Organize learning material and resources
Use a variety of activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, media, structured games, art, outdoor activities etc) to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
Cooperate with administration staff
Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations
