Additional School Requirements:

Minimum teaching experience:Kids 'R' Kids requires training or 2-year working experience
English as primary language
Working Knowledge of the behaviors and developmental stages of infant/toddler/pre-school/school age children, typically gained by working two years or more in a school or pre-school setting
Knowledge of safety practices as they relate to infant/toddler/pre-school/school age children
Good written and oral communication skills
Infant, Child and Adult CPR/First Aid certified at time of hire or complete certification within 30 days of hire date
Employment conditional on completing a satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening

Responsibilities:

Learn and administer the appropriate curriculum for children in your care for both classroom and outdoor activities, in accordance with age appropriate objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy
Maintain daily communication with families of children in your care
Maintain confidentiality with information shared by owner, administration, teachers, staff and families
Report any suspected child abuse to owner or administrator - you are a mandated reporter
Maintain all appropriate daily records
Assess and record progress in all areas of growth for children in your care - this includes physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth
Document incidents and accidents appropriately for the administrators' approval
Meet all Quality Assurance and Education Best Practice Guidelines
Stay current on and meet all licensing regulations

About the School:

The Kids 'R' Kids Learning Academy of Shanghai is nearly 70,000 square feet – more than four times the size of its average center – with a total of nine classrooms, full library, dedicated STEAM classroom, art and music rooms, full indoor playground, an American football field and more. Our centers also offer Kids 'R' Kids' standard curriculum, including a supplemental Mandarin program that further supports the concept's longstanding philosophies while meeting the requirements of the Chinese education system. Approximately 80 percent of the curriculum is taught in English and the remaining 20 percent is communicated in Mandarin. The schools currently has nearly 50 staff members, including 10 foreign instructors from the U.S. and around the world.
