Other Requirements: Candidates must be able to obtain a work visa for China in a timely manner. Assistance will be given in this area. However, applicants whose passport/nationality is from countries where this process is easier are preferred.

Job Description:

Concordia Dalian High School in Dalian, China, is seeking an American teacher to teach its math classes. A bachelor’s degree in secondary education with math focus is required. ESL endorsement, as well as at least one to five years, demonstrated experience in the teaching field is preferred. This position is an exciting opportunity to be a lead teacher in a new school start-up in Dalian, China. In association with Concordia Lutheran High School, Fort Wayne, IN, this is a secondary international school for local Chinese students. Backed by the 5678 Holding Group, Concordia Dalian High School began operation in the 2016-17 school year.

Position responsibilities include:

Focus on student learning to help prepare students for post-high school education.
Display content knowledge and pursue pedagogical versatility.
Actively build and invest in relationships with students and families through time spent with students and communication with both students and parents.
Foster a safe learning environment that inspires intellectual growth, collaboration, and creativity.
Consistently engage students in the learning process.
Teach secondary students in the areas of Math (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus). All subjects will be taught in English.
