Position Overview:

As a Mathematics Teacher at IB American Gulf School, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality education and fostering a passion for mathematics in students. You will be responsible for delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, creating a stimulating learning environment, and supporting the overall educational mission of the school.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Delivery: Teach mathematics subjects according to the IB curriculum, ensuring that students receive a comprehensive and engaging education.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.
  • Assessment: Create and administer assessments to evaluate students' understanding and progress. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and conducive learning environment. Encourage student participation and interaction in the classroom.
  • Individualized Support: Provide extra help and support to students who may be struggling with mathematical concepts or require additional challenges.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with developments in the field of mathematics education and participate in professional development activities.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school's curriculum development and improvement efforts.
  • Parent Communication: Communicate with parents about their children's progress and address any concerns or queries.
