The Giving Tree School, located in Phnom Penh, Cambodia is looking for an experienced Primary teacher to lead an international classroom.

This school educates students of four class levels: Owls 1 & Owls 2 (4-5 years old), Elephants (5-6 years old), and Primary (6-9 years old). Students at this school come from five different countries, and every classroom has a maximum of 20 students. The school's main curriculum includes Computer Science, Swimming, Yoga, Tennis, Arts, and Music, taught by support teachers. The campus is located in the heart of BKK 1 area, the largest expat community of Phnom Penh.

Primary teachers will teach Grades 1-3, for children who are 6-9 years old. The lead teacher is supported by two experienced Teacher Assistants, so there is one adult for every 7 students. Lead teacher will plan and organize learning activities in accordance with the goals, themes and standards of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Lessons should be planned separately for each age group to ensure that every student receives age-appropriate learning support while benefitting from exposure to children of different ages.

Candidates should be available for a start date of July 28, 2014 for a week of professional development. Classes begin the following week, on August 4th. Work hours are from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday-Friday.
