  • Experience and knowledge of the IB PYP and MYP programs
  • Experience in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating staff development programs
  • Experience in educational leadership, capable of inspiring others
  • Excellent communication skills including reading, research, interpretation, analysis, data reporting, technical writing, and public speaking
  • Committed to ensure high standards of teaching and learning
  • Intercultural aware with well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Innovative, flexible and technologically adapted with excellent computer skills
  • Competent, secure, and visible as a communicator
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

The IB Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate Organization at Colegio Alerce. The IB Coordinator will promote the fundamental concepts of the IB Program and help ensure that these practices improve student achievement. Colegio Alerce will provide our IB Coordinator with support, time, and resources to carry out the responsibility of this critical function. These responsibilities include the following:

  • Pedagogical Leadership
  • Communication
  • Resource management
  • Curriculum planning
  • Documentation of evidence
  • Professional development
