Wanted: an experienced, passionate, creative general science teacher, able to create hands-on, inquiry-based activities, laboratory investigations, and generate stimulating discussions in engaging lessons for middle school students to develop their dispositions, skills, knowledge, and understandings of science to be prepared for Secondary School and beyond.
We are the first independent national school in the country, founded in 1994, to educate the next generation of Mongolian intelligentsia. Hobby School is accredited by the Capital City Education Department of Mongolia and follows the State-approved General Secondary Education Curriculum of Mongolia. While we are proudly and emphatically a national school, we also pride ourselves on having one of the top English language programs in the nation. Hobby School was the first school in Mongolia to introduce The International Primary Curriculum and The International Middle Years Curriculum. The school was also the first to adopt AP courses into its curriculum. The bilingual nature of the curriculum results in added workload on our students.

The school's name, while evoking leisure, carries deep significance. It was inspired by the Eurasian Hobby (Falco Subbuteo), a falcon species revered by Mongolians as a symbol of courage and vigor.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, Hobby School serves approximately 1,200 students, from grades 1 to 12 (ages 6 to 17). Today, the school is widely regarded as one of Mongolia's top secondary education institutions.
