  • A short video introducing yourself and explaining why you are an excellent candidate, not to exceed 3 minutes in length.

You should also address your interest in ASU specifically and Mongolia in general.

  • A list of 3 or more current and recent supervisory references (referee contact information including their full name, email address, institution, role & relationship to you, years known).  Referees will not be contacted until after a successful interview has taken place.  Kindly note: teacher colleague/parent/students referees will not be considered at this time. 

Specific requirements include:

  • Must have significant experience in the USA or international (IB, Cambridge, other) curriculum school.
  • Must be an experienced secondary school English Language Arts teacher
  • Must have a state/government-issued teacher license in Secondary School English/ELA (government certificate must be included with this application)
  • Must have significant university-level training in English literature/language and teaching.
  • Must provide a list of current supervisory references with this application.
  • Applications that do not meet these standards or documents will not be considered.

Additionally, before hiring:

  • Must be able to provide a criminal record clearance from local and home country authorities (no older than 6 months) upon request
  • Must be able to provide copies of all post-secondary diplomas and transcripts
  • Must be able to travel to Mongolia without restrictions (not on the list of dis-allowed countries vis-a-vis COVID)

 

Applicants should have at least two years of relevant classroom teaching in High School English Literature and Language,  will have some international school experience, possess a government-issued teaching license, provide 3 supervisory references to be contacted, have excellent English verbal and written skills, and a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field (B.A. English Literature, etc.). 

Please note: TESOL, TOEFL, IELTS, etc. training is not a sufficient credential on its own.

The deadline for applications is March 31, 2022,  however, a suitable candidate may be hired before that date.
