Job Description:

Etqan Global Academy of Doha, Qatar, is seeking a full time experienced Kindergarten/Elementary Assistant Teachers for the year starting August 2020.

EGA offers an advanced education program in Doha, Qatar; an IB (PYP) in addition to the Qatari Arabic Curriculum for grades Pre-KG to G5. We plan for natural growth up to grade 12 in successive years.

EGA education philosophy emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity. Students at the EGA acquire and practice strong leadership skills and develop a sense of global responsibility.

School Campus

The school operates out of a purposely built campus that comprises separate buildings for male and female students, one serves kindergarten to grade 9, and one serves G10-12. The total enrollment capacity of the campus is +3000 students. The land plot size is 60,000M2, which is located on the North side of Doha.

Responsibilities

Work with the lead teacher to monitor students
Assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment
Set up necessary material for classes
Ensure the classroom environment is safe and clean
Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, and on-field excursions
Work with smaller groups of students for remedial teaching or reinforcing the learning process
Track student attendance and class schedules
Help students adjust, learn and socialize and report to teachers about possible behavioral issues
