- Utilities
- The School provides a utilities allowance to cover electricity and water (not paid where this is included in rent)
- Single Teacher: QR 2000 per year
- Married Teacher without children (per couple): QR 4000 per year
- Married Teacher with children (per couple): QR 4500 per year
- Settlement Pac
- New teachers are provided with a starter pack of provisions, TV, mobile phone, SIM card and initial credit to make calls. Limited transport is also provided until term starts.
- Freight Allowance (See Appendix 4 for more details)
- Each new member of staff relocating to Qatar will be entitled to a freight allowance, at the beginning and end of the employment, providing the first two-year agreement has been completed in full, equivalent to:
- Single Teacher: up to QR 2500
- Married Teacher without children (per couple): up to QR 4000
- Married Teacher with children (per couple): up to QR 6000 based on submission of receipts
- Education Assistance
- Up to two accompanying school-age dependants of the member of staff are entitled to 75% discount on tuition fees.
- For senior leadership staff – the first two accompanying school-age dependants of the member of staff are entitled to 100% discount on tuition fees and the third child is entitled to 75% discount.
- Other fees (special activities, mother-tongue lessons, intensive English, music tuition etc.) should be paid in full.
- In the event that the member of staff and his/her spouse are both employed by the school, this benefit will be applicable to the couple once only
- Medical cover
- Members of staff and dependants are provided with private health insurance (as per the current school insurance scheme). Details of the current scheme are available from the Head of Human Resources.
- Benefit entitlement
- In the event that the Teacher and the Teacher’s spouse are both employed by the School, or if the Teacher’s spouse receives benefits through another employer, the benefits in clauses 1 to 8 above and in Appendices 3 and 4 below, will be applicable to the Teacher/couple only once or may be paid by the other employer rather than the School.
