Hello!
I hold a 4-year BA in Teaching from a university in my home country, Uruguay. I am also about to complete my MA in Education in a UK university.
I would like to know whether my BA counts as a teaching license. It is not a British QTS but it is a teaching license in my country.

    Thanks for your question!

    Did your home university issue a "license" you'd be able to upload to your teacher profile as proof of certification? If so, I recommend using that as your teaching license. However, if it does not contribute to QTS in the UK, employers may have a similar stance and require further licensure.

    Hi Brett,
    I don't want to waste any one's time if this isn't what Teach Away will accept... I hold a substitute teaching credential here in the state of California for almost 2 1/2 yrs. I've taught grades preschool, K-12. I do have a bachelors in Interior Design and a MS in Building Construction & Facility Management. Do you think they'll accept my education to teach in atleast lower level grades?

    Hi Michael,

    This is a great question. It depends on whether or not a substitute teaching credential qualifies as a teaching license in California. If it does, and you can upload a copy of this certification, you may very well qualify for jobs on the Teach Away job board.

    Out of curiosity, was there a particular job you were hoping to qualify for?

    My field of study is not related to a teaching.
    How can I get a teaching license?

    I have a bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Diploma of Education by the modern techniques adopted in teaching at the Ministry of Education in Jordan for 19 year ,
    Do you consider me a licensed teacher to work in teach away????
