AEG Vietnam is seeking an Academic Director.
This position is based in the vibrant city Ho Chi Minh, in the south of Vietnam.

AEG is looking for a strong leader with proven managerial experience in the education field.

AEG is looking for a qualified and experienced Academic Director to oversee all aspects of AEG’s education quality and teaching delivery. The successful applicant will be able to mentor both the Management team and teaching staff, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Possess experience in dealing with educational facilities and understand the requirements and business implications of building these relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance the quality of education offered through AEG
- To support the development, implementation and evaluation of AEG in Vietnam
- To ensure teaching strategy and product development objectives meet young learner income targets and enhance AEG’s reputation in Vietnam as leaders in STEAM English
- To manage effective and tractable operational and academic management
- To provide academic support and performance management and professional development of teachers
- To ensure high teaching quality standards and positive customer experience
- Financial Management of all AEG Centers
- Develop, monitor, evaluate and improve the school instructional program
- Work with the Curriculum Development Manager to ensure a consistent cutting edge STEAM educational product is delivered at all times
- Train and provide educational resources to academic team
- Promote and implement professional development for all academic staff
- Co-develop the Centers calendar and schedules
- Integrate and maintain academic systems
- Support community efforts to recruit and retain students
- Maintain academic integrity in the STEAM program
- Plan and manage staff assignments
- Establish robust, meaningful co-curricular and auxiliary programs
- Be a visible, positive presence across all Centers
Further Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a high level of trust and team spirit and camaraderie with the management team
- Driving the implementation of commercially-focused business planning principles and developing innovative growth strategies to expand an established business
- Balance commercially-focused business principles with high levels of customer service and academic standards
- Building and establishing relationships and partnerships with other ESL centres/Schools in and working collaboratively to meet organisation goals.
- Ensure accurate academic record-management within the Academic Department
- Ensure consistency of academic decision-making and course implementation between Centers
- Ensure oversight of AEG curriculum and curriculum development, course reviews and assessment validations
- Stay abreast of current trends in ESL Institutions to ensure best practices in curriculum development and delivery
- Manage and update academic program to meet students’ academic goals
- Maintain quality and integrity of the AEG curriculum to ensure that the program meets the academic needs of students
- Manage assessment and evaluation processes within the program to ensure that assessments and evaluation within the program are designed in such a way as to maintain quality academic outcomes and standards
The Team:
- AEG currently has three English Centers in HCMC (District 3, 7 and Go Vap)
- Manage and provide guidance to the current Academic Management Team to ensure high standards and consistent product development across all Centers
- Work closely with Curriculum Development team to ensure appropriate STEAM products are delivered at all times
- Be responsible for quality control of all Academic products and procedures
