We are seeking a High School Chemistry Teacher with experience teaching AP Chemistry and certified by the College Board.  We have a wonderful team OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS for the beginning of next academic year (August 2021) and the school is renowned for its excellent academic achievement.

Educational Requirements
 
**Bachelor’s degree from a Scientific Field (preferability  Chemistry)
**PGCE in Secondary Education, USA or Canadian Teaching License or Irish Teaching Council registration
** Experience teaching Advance Placement Chemistry in partnership with the College Board, USA.
 
The Ideal Applicant

The Ideal Applicant is an individual with a true passion for facilitating young people’s curiosity in their field of expertise. The ideal candidate will be expected to have a minimum of two years of teaching experience in their chosen field, and a track record of effective teaching. SAIS is seeking an individual with a true passion for facilitating young people’s curiosity in the field of Chemistry and a willingness to adopt an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning. An exceptional candidate will indicate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to put situations into REAL-LIFE contexts. The teacher will also be expected to (1) maintain excellent classroom management to promote cohesion and professionalism, (2) serve as role model for the students they teach daily and (3) utilize self reflection, peer reflections, observations, and student data to drive and further student achievement.
