College Counselor
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the cohesiveness of the College and Career counseling programs for High school students grade 9 through grade 12.
- Maintain communication with students and parents about the application process, college and career options and scholarships from 9th through 12 grade.
- Manage the College database for school-side information and university communication (CIALFO).
- Inform students and parents with regards to financial aid possibilities and opportunities when appropriate.
- Ensure appropriate academic planning to meet the requirements for graduation at Inter and entrance into universities, either local or international.
- Recommend current and future course choices based on students interests and performance.
- Assist in the preparation of SAT, Oversee the review of college essays and personal statements.
- Support teachers and provide training and review for letters of recommendation.
- Counsel students on a balanced and appropriate college application list. Interact effectively and develop a network of contacts with college admissions and financial aid offices both internationally and locally.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with postsecondary schools.
- Develop and maintain a counseling calendar.
- Conduct parent and student informational workshops as needed.
- Coordinate special activities, such as presentations of institutions and college fairs outputs, Celebrate students acceptances and scholarships with communications.
- Draft and present the annual report for the General Director and the Technical Director.
