Purpose of Job

A Content Area Specialist is an international teaching and leadership position. Content Area Specialists assists in curriculum design, manages subject area initiatives, serves as a guest international teacher, facilitates new staff trainings, and works as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the success of our international schools.

Location

This job is full time, located at our Belleville, Michigan office. International travel is required. Typical trips are 10 days - 3 months overseas, based on need.

Job Tasks

Specialists will lead and manage curriculum initiatives in their subject area. Specialists will assist in the interview process of international teaching staff. Specialists will travel overseas to serve as a guest teacher at WAY American Schools. Specialists will work collaboratively online and in person with staff and students. Specialists will assist in the professional development of the teaching staff. Specialists will take on other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
