Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator

Taaleem is recruiting for a Curriculum & Assessment Coordinator to join their central Ajyal School Cluster Team based in Sharjah, UAE.

The Role

The Curriculum and Assessment Leader will work across all of Taaleem's Ajyal Schools to support the Executive Principal in quality assuring curriculum design, implementation, and adaptation, as well as assessment practices and procedures. He/She will work will have a strong understanding and be highly skilled in both curriculum and assessment and will work in partnership with school leaders to enhance practices within schools and standardize best practices across the school cluster.

The Curriculum and Assessment Leader will identify areas of strength within schools and provide key recommendations for school improvement, in partnership with the Executive Principal. The Curriculum and Assessment Leader will also research the latest educational developments and evaluate potential resources to make recommendations to the Executive Principal or senior leadership teams. He/She will be responsible for strengthening curriculum and assessment-based practices to directly raise standards of teaching and learning to improve student outcomes.

Due to the success of Taaleem's Ajyal Generation School project, this summer 2023, we will be awarded additional new campuses and we are therefore looking for outstanding senior leaders, teachers, and support staff to join our growing family!

Additional School Requirements

Education:

  • Teaching qualification
  • Master’s Degree in an educational related field (preferred)

Experience:

  • Experience as an outstanding classroom teacher
  • Track record of school improvement
  • Strong experience and understanding of the US curriculum and MAP assessments 
  • Highly skilled in curriculum planning, with a deep understanding of pedagogical excellence
  • Expertise in assessment, and data analysis to achieve positive educational outcomes

Competencies:  

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work with diverse members of the project including students, faculty, staff, administrators, and accreditors
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to synthesize and analyze quantitative and qualitative data and prepare and present reports effectively
