Director of Teaching, Learning & Assessment

This is a key senior leadership role, leading the improvement of teaching standards and increasing student progress and attainment, supporting and liaising closely with other members of the leadership team, pastoral team and teachers.

The successful candidate will be a highly effective experienced teacher/leader who will:

  • Lead on the development of teaching and learning focusing on pedagogy, standards and progress
  • Work directly with teachers to inspire and be instrumental in developing their skills, pedagogy for excellence in student outcomes
  • Work directly with Key stage Leaders/ Head of Department to mentor/coach and be instrumental in ensuring highest academic standards in every section of the school (teaching and learning, Assessment, Curriculum, Innovation, care and support)
  • Be a part of a thriving Leadership Team focusing on the whole school environment
  • Promote the school to all stakeholders and the wider community
