Elementary Music Teacher

Reports: Division Principal

ISP-J seeks an experienced, dynamic Music teacher. The ideal candidate will support our school’s mission, goals, and vision; value community; bring a spirit of enthusiasm, energy, and willingness to take thoughtful initiative in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual students’ needs and curriculum
  • Teach music theory, aural skills and practical techniques to students
  • Motivate students and monitor progress
  • Acquire appropriate teaching material and resources
  • Communicate with Academic Staff and Parents
  • Ensure up-to-date knowledge and awareness of assessments
  • Assess students’ abilities, providing feedback and writing school reports
  • Coordinate Music performances throughout the academic year
