English Teacher

Main Responsibilities

  • 30 teaching hours per week.
  • 40 office hours per week
  • 6 working days per week
  • Teach English by drama to Primary school students
  • Teach ESL to youths and adults in the learning centre
  • Ensure students learn and progress, and receive the support and encouragement needed
  • Take part in school activities
  • Promote and preserve a pleasant and courteous atmosphere in the school

Job Benefits

  • Competitive salary (after tax): MOP 20,000 - 30,000 (GBP 2,000 – 3,000) per month depending on experience and qualifications 
  • One or two-year contracts (renewable, depending on the working visa)

Additional School Requirements

Due to the very strict visa regulations in Macao, all foreign teachers must meet the following requirements:

  • Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa
  • Bachelors Degree in any Major 
  • Minimum of 1 year of classroom teaching experience
  • 120 hour TEFL certificate or CELTA required, and PGCE
  • No criminal history

 

Other requirements:

  • Drama or English major preferred
  • International Teaching experienced preferred
  • Flexible to adapt to a new culture
  • Outgoing, dedicated, professional
