German Teacher

The International School of Stuttgart is a non-profit Kindergarten through 12th grade, CIS and NEASC accredited, IB World School offering an international curriculum to a student body of about 830 from over 30 nations. Among its strengths are its student-centred and holistic approach to learning and its commitment to professional development and emphasis on student pastoral care.  
 ISS is looking to hire a qualified Upper School German Teacher  to commence in August 2019.

 

The successful candidate may be expected to take on a Middle or High School homeroom.

Candidates should: 

  • Have a qualified teacher status 
  • Have three or more years’ experience teaching German Language Acquisition across the IBMYP & IBDP
  • Be committed to collaborative approach to working with colleagues
  • Have a strong commitment to the values of international education 
  • Have up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working with, and the protection of, children and young people
  • Display commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people
  • Value and respect the views and needs of children and young people.

 

The following would be an advantage:

  • Experience in using technology in the classroom
  • Experience in curriculum development and documentation
  • Experience in co-teaching
