Grade 7 ELA Teacher

  • To create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment that is conducive to student’s learning.
  • To plan and prepare lessons in order to deliver the Metropolitan School’s curriculum, which includes textbooks and materials selected by the Metropolitan School for delivering the curriculum.
  • To identify clear teaching objectives and learning outcomes, with appropriate challenges and high expectations.
  • To maintain good order and discipline among the students, safeguarding their health and safety.
  • To maintain a regular system of monitoring, assessment, record-keeping and reporting of student’s progress.
  • To participate in staff meetings as required.
  • To ensure that school policies are reflected in daily practice.
  • To support the Metropolitan School administration in promoting the ethos of the school.
  • To promote the welfare of all students and support the school in providing educational programs and services for all students.
  • To communicate and consult with parents regarding all aspects of their children’s education – academic, social and emotional.
  • To meet with parents to contribute positively to the education of their students concerned.
  • To promote equality as an integral part of the role and to treat everyone with fairness and dignity.
  • To incorporate the use of media and technology.
