Graduate Residential Boarding Assistant - AMADEUS Int'l School - Austria

Essential Tasks of Support and Learning

  • Providing student support and care in personal, moral, physical and intellectual matters
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students in the boarding houses
  • Maintaining a positive house culture, appropriate standards of behavior including being a positive role model
  • Liaising with parents, guardians and staff on all matters of boarding student life
  • Administration, organization and supervision of the boarding house including after school activities
  • Monitoring progress of boarding students in personal, moral, physical and intellectual matters
  • Actively contributing to the development and running of all boarding programs

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Certificates
TESL/TEFL Certificate
Education RequiredBachelor
Additional School Requirements

Minimum:

  • A teaching certificate (including TEFL, CELTA)
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Valid residency and work permit for Austria or EU citizen

Preferred:

  • A university degree or job training or 3 years work experience (in a pedagogical field) 
  • Resilience and flexibility according the family style boarding (main free time is during the school day)
  • additional languages (especially German)
  • First aid training
  • Boarding experience, school or social education work experience
TEFL certification required
