Head of Arabic

Taaleem Ajyal Schools requires an experienced Head of Arabic to join a Public-Private Partnership Elementary School in the UAE, in August 2024.

As a leading education provider in the Middle East, Taaleem is continuing to support the UAE Vision and National Agenda 2021, establishing a unique partnership between the government and the private sectors. We currently manage and operate several private-public partnership schools in the UAE, to raise the quality of education; playing a significant role in shaping the present and future lives of Emirati youth. 

From August 2022, Taaleem will manage four Emirates Schools Establishment campuses located in Dubai, Sharjah, Ras al Khaimah and Fujairah. This exciting project will be the newest addition to an already successful partnership with the UAE Government, expanding Taaleem's portfolio of private-sector-run government schools into the Northern Emirates of the UAE. 

Who is Taaleem?

As a Taaleem senior leader, you will join one of the largest, most respected education providers in the United Arab Emirates. Taaleem (which means ‘education’ in Arabic’) was established in 2004 and now has 9,000 students attending our 11 international schools and pre-schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Taaleem is also one of the Middle East’s leading IB workshop providers for PYP, MYP, DP, and IBCP. We began training in 2009 and have enrolled over 3500 participants to date.

Who are we looking for? 

Head of Arabic - Dubai/Northern Emirates

We are seeking an outstanding and dedicated Head of Arabic who is committed to the long-term goals of this project.

We are looking to hire a Head of Arabic who believes they can make a difference to their students, who understands that change is a process, and who wants to take an active role in sharing their expertise as the team moves towards achieving its shared goals. The projected growth of Taaleem will offer a broad range of exciting opportunities in the coming years. 

You will:        

  • Have a relevant Teaching Qualification / License and experience leading the Arabic department 
  • Possess recent successful experience of teaching Arabic to students in Grades 1-5  
  • Have experience teaching and leading in an American curriculum school setting
  • Be an outstanding and inspirational senior leader 
  • Have a flexible and enthusiastic approach with a can-do ethos         
  • Be an innovative and reflective practitioner who is keen to learn, adaptable, motivated by challenge, and an excellent and engaging classroom practitioner    
  • Be available for an August 2024 start
