Homeroom Teacher

We are seeking qualified and dynamic teachers to join our team. We are a Category 3 Alberta Accredited International School located in the growing city of Queretaro - we support new teachers to gain their Permanent Professional Certification from the Ministry of Alberta by completing two years of teaching with us.  

We believe in collaboration, and teamwork, and use our unique assessment framework to inform instruction and improve learning.

Job Benefits

Mexican Visa/Work Permit Procedures 

  • Costs of the consular appointment and local immigration expenses covered by the school 100%    

Housing:

  • Rental allowance of up utilities $16,600* Mexican pesos per month for 1 year (taxes included).  
  • HR will support the process of securing housing according to your preferences and budget.
  • The department or house will be selected by the teacher and prepare the agreement between the owner and the teacher.
  • *Should staff not fulfill contractual obligations, the staff will be responsible for paying the remaining lease debit.
  • Housing should be located close to the school. 
  • Furniture, appliances, and house wards provided (consult inventory). 
  • Laundry facilities provided or access to a laundry room. 
  • *Note: the school does not cover travel and hotel expenses should a Mexican consulate not be located in your area.

Bonuses :

  • Christmas/end-of-year bonus equal to 15 days of salary at the end of each fiscal year (January to December) (apportionment if a full year of service has not been completed). 

Vacations:

  • Christmas break. 
  • Easter break. 
  • 4 weeks of summer holidays (only if you will be working next school year).  

Medical Insurance: 

  • Both medical insurance plans outlined below are eligible for the person employed by Canadian School. 
  • The medical insurance is comprised of two distinct plans – one for minor illnesses and one for major illnesses, accidents, and dental coverage:  
  • Mediaccess - Minor Illness Coverage 
  • Example: flu, diarrhea, headache, ear infections 
  • Service Coverage 
  • First-contact medical visits 
  • (General Practitioner, Internist)
