HS Science Teacher
The American International School of Bamako (AISB) is an independent college-preparatory day school offering a dynamic, student-centered educational program for students from Pre-kindergarten through grade 12. Current enrollment is about 150 students. Our student body is fully international and includes students representing more than 35 nationalities. AISB graduates attend fine colleges and universities around the world. AISB is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) and is a full member of the Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA).
We are currently recruiting for an MS/HS Science Teacher who can teach biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, and health. The teacher must be able to teach at the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) level. In the 22/23 school year, we are offering AP Environmental Science and HS Chemistry. In addition, the teacher would teach a mixed-level MS integrated science class. Finally, the teacher would be responsible for teaching a half-year health course at the high school level. In subsequent years, the teacher would be asked to teach physics and biology at the high school level.
We are a standards-based school using AERO standards (aligned to NGSS standards).
