IB Coordinator (PYP/MYP)

As an IB PYP/MYP Coordinator, the candidate is expected to plan and oversee the implementation and management of the IB philosophy, while it is delivered through the Ontario Curriculum at EGA. Through coordination with teachers, administrators, and the IB Organization, the coordinator is responsible for the full delivery of a high-quality program including documentation, reporting, analysis, and evaluation.

The target candidate for this position possesses: Must have a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education Valid Teaching License IB Certifications: Level 1, 2 and 3 5+ Years PYP/MYP teaching experience 3+ Years IB Coordinator experience Extensive knowledge of IB PYP/MYP Standards and Practices. Educational technology savvy Strong curriculum and instruction content knowledge. Understand a variety of forms of assessment to inform instruction. Experience in the use of data to drive instructional decisions. A variety of classroom instruction strategies including differentiation, inquiry, and concept-based instruction. Strong computer skills including the use of instructional software packages and IB’s On-line Curriculum Center. Ability to work collaboratively with community partners, EGA staff, and the leadership team. Experience in leading teaching staff development activities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently. Reliability, accountability, and execution of a high standard.

About the School

BACKGROUND EGA is an IB PYP accredited school, an MYP Candidate, and a CIS member school that offers an advanced education model in Doha, Qatar in addition to the Qatari Curriculum for the Arabic Language, Islamic, and Social Studies. As of the academic year 2022/2023, we provide schooling to Pre-KG to Grade 8 students, and we plan for natural growth up to grade 12 in successive years. EGA's education philosophy emphasizes inquiry, stimulates curiosity, and fosters comprehension and creativity. Students at the EGA acquire and practice strong leadership skills and develop a sense of global responsibility. SCHOOL CAMPUS The school operates out of a purposely built campus situated on a 60,000 square meter land plot in the Northside of Doha. As of the academic year 2023/2024, our enrollment is nearly 1,600 students; however, the school campus' total enrollment capacity is 4,650 students.
