Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher
SIE.K, part of the Shepherd International Education group, has two academies located in exciting Seoul, South Korea. Across our two locations, we are proud to sponsor twenty English-speaking staff from around the world and look forward to adding more enthusiastic educators to our growing teams. SIE.K is currently accepting applications for new English-speaking homeroom positions opening up this August, in advance of the 2021-2022 school year.
The SIE.K program follows an American-styled Early Childhood Education curriculum with a focus on English immersion. Homeroom teachers, with their Korean co-teaching partners, are responsible primarily for supervising their young learners throughout the school day to safeguard their well-being and happiness at school. Other responsibilities for English-speaking teachers include leading English-based subjects that vary according to the age of students but generally include English Language Arts, Phonics, Literacy, and a Song & Movement class.
Successful applicants will be joining a friendly team that is enthusiastic about nurturing young learners. Applicants should expect to work a full-time job in a professional education setting. However, work expectations are reasonable with no overtime required—we hope all of our teachers will enjoy a balance of work and life while enjoying their time in culturally rich South Korea.
Academy Locations:
- Samseong Branch: Located in south-central Seoul within a 10-minute walk to Samseong Station
- Amsa Branch: Located in south-east Seoul within a 10-minute walk to Amsa Station
