Mathematics Teacher

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, ambitious Secondary Mathematics Teacher who can inspire and motivate our students! Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver lessons that align with the Alberta Education curriculum for mathematics and science, using student-centered teaching practices that support the development of critical thinking skills.
Implement standards-based grading and reporting principles to provide accurate and meaningful feedback to students and parents.
Utilize inquiry-based learning and problem-solving strategies to engage students and enhance their understanding of mathematical and scientific concepts.
Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and encourages open communication and collaboration.
Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to develop and implement cross-curricular projects and initiatives.
Participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, field trips, and school events.
Attend professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in teaching.

Additional School Requirements
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Education or higher OR a PGCE with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field. Teaching license from home country/province Must have completed a supervised practicum while earning Education Qualification Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a Canadian curriculum private school or international school setting. Strong knowledge and experience in student-centered learning, standards-based grading, and reporting principles, developing critical thinking skills in students, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving. Proficient in the use of technology in the classroom. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passionate about teaching and committed to providing high-quality education to students. Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Experience teaching Mathematics 10, 20, and 30 is preferred.
