Middle School Robotics and Math Teacher

We are seeking a Robotics and Math Teacher for our Middle School who will be responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of robotics and math. The successful candidate will design and implement a curriculum that engages and challenges students to think creatively and analytically. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a robotics and math curriculum that aligns with the school's standards and objectives.
  • Teach middle school students how to design, build, program, and test robots using Fischertechnik or similar robotics kits.
  • Integrate math concepts such as geometry, algebra, and problem-solving into robotics lessons.
  • Create and deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote student interest and engagement.
  • Provide individual and group instruction to students and provide feedback on their progress.
  • Encourage students to collaborate and problem-solve in teams to complete robotics challenges.
  • Manage and maintain the classroom and all equipment related to robotics instruction.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities related to robotics and math, such as robotics competitions or after-school clubs.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent level of English
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Robotics, Math, STEAM, or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
  • Strong knowledge of robotics.
  • Experience with Fischertechnik or other robotics kits.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing educational needs.
  • Proficient in math concepts such as geometry, algebra, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of adolescent development

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Understanding by Design
  • Knowledge of Marzano's New Taxonomy
