Middle School Science teacher
SEEQS: the School for Examining Essential Questions of Sustainability is a secondary public charter school in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi. We currently serve approximately 180 students in 6th through 8th grades. SEEQS offers a community-focused, interdisciplinary project-based, tuition-free secondary school experience for Oahu families.
We are accepting applications for a middle school science teacher, who will teach two of the three middle school grades/subjects: Earth, Life, Physical science. SEEQS uses the SEPUP middle school science curriculum, which is investigative, issues-based, and standards-aligned.

Salaried charter school employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for self and/or family at Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund (EUTF) rates. The State pays a part of the premiums for each employee's enrollment in a state-sponsored Medical, Drug, Vision, and Adult Dental Plan. All employees have state holidays off. Teachers and 10-month employees have fall, winter, spring, and summer breaks, plus 18 days of sick leave per year. 12-month employees accrue vacation and sick leave on a monthly basis, at a rate equivalent to 18 days of each type of leave per year. Other benefits include Group Life Insurance, Premium Conversion Plan, Flexible Spending Accounts, Retirement Plan, Temporary Disability Insurance, Social Security, and Workers' Compensation. |
