MS English Language Art Teacher

Responsibilities:

  • Providing interactive and meaningful learning material to students, maintaining a positive learning environment for the active participation of students, assigning homework, and conducting class tests for analyzing their progress
  • Implementing and delivering quality instruction to students and executing the instructional program by demanding higher-order thinking activities from students in a progressive manner
  • Designing a curriculum that challenges the learning ability of students and ensures the overall development of language
  • Preparing home assignments and test materials, evaluating the tests' results, and creating innovative methods of teaching as per the students' varying backgrounds, learning styles, and grasping power
  • Providing learning material and language reference books to the students, utilizing available resources in the school curriculum to monitor, access, and evaluate students' learning abilities

Additional School Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in teaching overseas, especially in developing world countries would be a huge benefit alongside openness to new cultures. The school is a multicultural environment but with its predominantly (if not exclusively) Mongolian student body, respect for and understanding of local customs and traditions is expected. 
  • Having taken AP CS in high school will also be a huge advantage even in the absence of prior experience teaching the course, as it would allow the teacher to capitalize on their experience as a student to conduct their course in the most engaging and useful manner.  
  • To be considered for this position, the applicant must provide in this order:
  • A short video introducing yourself and explaining why you are an excellent candidate, not to exceed 3 minutes in length.
  • A cover 1-2 page cover letter specifically styled for this vacancy, discussing your interest in the role, your qualifications and experience for this role, your philosophy of education, and your passion for education. 
  • A complete CV showing all employment experiences, dates, name of employer, specific grades and subjects, and reason for leaving. Any gaps in employment must be included and explained. 
  • Applicants should have at least two years of classroom teaching experience in a secondary (middle or high) school and will have some international school experience, possess a government-issued teaching license, provide 3 supervisory references to be contacted, and have excellent English verbal, and written skills, and a Bachelor or Master degree in English and literature or related field. Kindly note: teacher colleagues/parent/student referees will not be considered at this time. 
  • An online interview with the HR Office and the Dean of Academic Affairs for International Curricula will be conducted upon receipt of these documents.
