Nursery School Principal

The Nursery School Principal is responsible to provide overall leadership for the Nursery School, which serves approximately 300 learners from two to five years old in Toddler, Nursery 1, Nursery 2 and Nusery 3 classes. Beginning in September 2021, Green Hills Academy plans to begin implementing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) from Nusery 1 through Grade 5. Thus, knowedge of and experience with the PYP are preferred but not required. Responsibilities of the Nursery School Principal include:

  • Leadership focused on the continuous improvement of teaching and learning
  • Curriculum development leadership, including the development of PYP Units of Inquiry
  • Teacher support, supervision and evaluation
  • Fostering a positive school culture characterized by collaboration, mutual support and a growth mindset
  • Contributing to the development of the Nursery School budget and managing resources and expenditures within the approved budget
  • Serving on senior leadership teams and collaborating with senior leaders
